Needed something of sustenance to put in my stomach. Decided to stop at this place. Pretty good service. Welcoming staff. They had a variety of sandwiches and salads. I opted for the Caesar chicken wrap cause they didn't have anymore hero bread. Pretty tasty. Could've used just a little more dressing to add some ummpf to it but it wasn't bad. Pretty big ass wrap too. I had one half and my kid had the other half. Very filling and satisfying. Now I now where to stop if I ever wanted something to eat quick and good. Not mad at it at all.

First thing I want to say is that there are many fake reviews on this restaurant and I can't believe yelp hasn't spotted them? Now to the review. The sandwiches from the menu are perfect. I would avoid the specials. My sandwich was $16 but since I was full after one half I think the price is good. I will definitely come back when I can!

I give Brothers a 5 star for excellent fresh food. HOWEVER, I just shopped their today. Spent $33.00 for cheese and salads. When I checked out a young girl on the first register after I put my products on her line yelled she was eating. I took my items and went to the next register. Not 1 minute later while she was still eating a young man came in and she checked him out. I will never shop there again.

I haven't been to brother italian food world in a veryyyy long time but was craving a italian cold cut hero after a Long Beach day. We decided to call in an order, which I was unsure if you could or not until I called and they said sure. So we placed an order, which the girl handled absolutely perfectly . With that said we wait a little and the. Leave my house to go pick up the order. Upon entering brothers, which is a deli/meat market/ grocery store catering to italian fare, I noticed a very unpleasant smell lingering in the air. I go to the deli counter and I'm quickly greeted and asked if I need help. I tell them I put in a pick up order and would like to know if it's ready, I had a few minutes to wait not a big deal. I walked around the store and the shelves looked very empty and not well stocked.... whatever let me go get my sandwiches. I grab my order which was quickly finished and go to the counter to pay. I noticed that a hero was 15 bucks, thought it was pricey but whatever everything in my neighborhood is now expensive. I sit down open up my meal and boom!!! A great sandwich, made neatly, highly stacked meats, generous cheese and plenty of condiments. I was pleasantly surprised due to the smell I encountered. I think maybe it was the cheeses in the deli but I have no idea. All the sandwiches were good just a little pricey. Not a bad beach day thanks to brothers ending it off right!!!

This is definitely one of my favorite Italian grocery stores! everyone is nice and helpful that work there. the owners are extremely kind and it's still a mom and pop business. the place is spotless clean and all the food is fresh. The deli has a lot of Italian made dishes and a variety of meats. wide variety of cheeses. The mozzarella is Home made and I love that they cater to the Italian client so a lot of things that they sell as far as food or things that Italians from Italy or Italian Americans in Howard beach would need. They sell everything including the empty jars when you make sauce every year in August/September.

What makes me wish that I was a Howard Beach resident more than anything? (Any the reasons are many) The Food! Growing up with my first generation Italian grandparents close by, the quality and balanced food flavors that came out of the kitchen are truely memorable. No matter where my travels take me, I always have my radar honing in on authentic Italian. Coming off the bridge, my eyes caught sight of Brothers and I hastily whipped my car around and in I went. The chatter amongst the patrons fit the motif and the menu board behind the counter had me close to a drool. Sausage and peppers with onions was cooked to order and huge in size. The pepper & onion chunky cuts held the Italian sausage at bay in the rear, creating a symphony of flavors, all blending together properly. The sandwiches seem priced a bit high, however once the high quality ingredient costs are considered and the physical size of your hero is revealed, the price is clearly appropriate. I just couldn't depart without some mozzarella balls, broccoli rabe, sun dried tomatoes. 34 hero options, 29 pasta options, 23 appetizer options and the list continues. To not check out Brothers Hot Food to Go would be a culinary crime to be sure.
